Delano School Board candidate forum
In advance of the Nov. 6 General Election, the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce (DACC) is hosting a candidate town hall-style forum for the candidates who have filed for positions on the Delano School Board. The event is open to the public and will include a brief opening statement from each candidate, prepared questions from the DACC, along with a brief period of time for the audience to ask questions, and then mingling/meeting and greeting to follow. The evening is tentatively scheduled to be broken into two segments, with school board candidates encompassing approximately the first hour and the candidates for United States Representative District 6 encompassing the last portion. Both candidates for US Representative District 6 have been invited to participate, though only one has confirmed. Delano School Board candidates are Mark Larson, Corey Black, Lani Brown-Worley, Lisa Seguin, and Jennie Rosenow. The top four vote-getters will be elected. The race for US Representative features Tom Emmer and Ian Todd. All five school board candidates have confirmed their attendance at this event, and the DACC is still working to secure confirmation in the US Representative race. A forum featuring candidates for Delano City Council and Mayor and State Representative District 29A will take place Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Delano City Hall. NOTE: The DACC will not endorse a candidate following the forum. This event is sponsored and coordinated solely by the DACC.
