Delano city offices and state representative forum
In advance of the Nov. 6 General Election, the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce (DACC) is hosting a candidate town hall-style forum for the candidates who have filed for positions on the Delano City Council, for Delano Mayor, and State Representative District 29A. The event is open to the public and will include a brief opening statement from each candidate, prepared questions from the DACC, along with a brief period of time for the audience to ask questions, and then mingling/meeting and greeting to follow. The evening will be broken into two segments, with city council/mayor encompassing approximately the first hour and the state representative position encompassing the last portion. Delano City Council candidates are Jason Franzen and Holly A. Schrupp, running for two positions on the council. Candidates for the position of Delano Mayor are Dale Graunke and Larry M. Bartels. The race for State Representative 29A features Joe McDonald and Renee Cardarelle. All six candidates have confirmed their attendance at this event. A forum featuring candidates for Delano School Board will take place Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Delano City Hall. NOTE: The DACC will not endorse a candidate following the forum. This event is sponsored and coordinated solely by the DACC.
